My "Old John" was born 1686 in Middlesex co. Va, the son of another John Somers. He lived most of his life in Fairfax county, Va. and belonged to the Anglican ( Episcopal) church. He died in his 104th year ( not 114). As far as I know all but one of his sons continued to live in the Fairfax Co., Va. area...and he was not married before 1717. Good luck with your Somers researcch. Sounds like an interesting family
