Fairfax County's Web site gives this number for the clerk: 703-691-7320 (Press 3, 0). You might give them a call. There probably will be a small fee involved, and they may not release it because it is so recent and the parties are still living because of the risk of identity theft. But I don't know this for sure with marriage records - you will just have to ask.

A lot of people don't realize Arlington is a county and not a city. Or that most cities in Virginia are not in counties, but independent. And even TV news anchors get mixed up about the mint and the Bureau of Printing and Engraving. If your people lived in the DC area, it was probably Printing and Engraving. Or if she really worked for the mint, it was another city. Try the Arlington County board, and someone may be able to help you.

Arlington isn't in Fairfax County; it's a separate county of its own. There isn't a US Mint in Arlington, Fairfax, or the DC area. The Bureau of Printing and Engraving is located down on 14th Street in DC, though. It makes paper money.
