In 1865 he settled in Washington DC and married Anna Wilhelmina Schlorb. In 1893, James bought the historic Springfield farm in Gunston Neck, Fairfax Co., VA. He farmed there until 1900 when he moved to Seat Pleasant, MD. Anna Wilhelmina Schlorb b. abt 1858 Washington DC, d/o William Schlorb & Mary Killian. Anna died 23 July 1947 Seat Pleasant, MD. James & Anna had the following children: 1. James Henry Jr. b. 23 August 1883 Washington DC d. 29 Dec 1951 Engleside, Fairfax Co. VA. He married Leathy Ellen Schlorb bef 1913. Leathy was b. 22 Aug 1891 Washington DC, d/o George Leonard Schlorb Sr & Mary Ellen Donaldson. She died 23 Sept 1939 Fairfax Co. VA. 2.
