    3. I will take time to share my information on the 1770 Broadsides which is a printed form George Washington had printed and posted at various points around Fairfax County requesting signatures of Fairfax County residents who would agree not to purchase from England as a protest to taxation. I believe it costs $1 from Fairfax County Publications and every researcher should have a copy and check to see if they,as I , find their ancestor listed. Can someone provide an address for Fairfax County Publications? If not I will dig around until I find mine. Dorothy Lee

    3. Zone Alarm is free for non-profit users. Only for profit organizations must buy a license after 60 days. I have had it for a year and never paid a cent. I up-graded to the newest version the other day with no problem. They do have an upgraded version which I have not purchased. I felt the free one has taken care of my needs. Below is what I copied from their site. * ZoneAlarm is free for individual and not-for-profit charitable entity use (excluding governmental entities and educational institutions). For-profit business entities, governmental entities, or educational institutions, your license will be free for an introductory sixty (60) day period but you must purchase a valid end-user license after 60 days in order to continue using the software -----Original Message----- From: Tosca K. Simms [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2001 11:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [VAFairfa] Trojan or BadTrans Hi all, and especially Janice and Ruth, First, thank both of you for your informative emails to me direct. This is where I will put in a plug for Netscape in lieu of MSIE/Outlook Express... Netscape tells me so much about each email when it comes in without having to click on something else to see what size, from what address, etc. It also has not added any othe attachments that are coming with these 40KB emails that are being sent out. I gather that most of the trojans and viruses affect Outlook Express rather than Netscape Messenger emails from what I have read. I did have the misfortune of getting the BadTrans virus about 6 months ago, and since I use Win 95 I check constantly to make certain Ido not get it back. My husband uses Outlook Express but does not subscribe to lists. He has not had any virus problems in 4 years, but I absolutely hate to get into his email program to do anything. I am so used to seeing everything about an email when I receive one through Netscape, and all you get from O E is who sent it to you, unless you go elsewhere to look for that info. Enough of my soapbox on this score. Thank you again Janice and Ruth. Janice, I did see where the free program is only good for sixty days and then you pay. It is typical of so much of the shareware and free software. ==== VAFAIRFA Mailing List ==== E-mail List Mom at mailto:[email protected] http://www.rootsweb.com/~vafairfa/ ============================== Visit Ancestry.com for a FREE 14-Day Trial and enjoy access to the #1 Source for Family History Online. 3. Is it only attachments from him, or the emails themselves? I got 5 emails from the NORTHU-L list that all had nothing. So does this mean that it is spreading to other Northumberland list members? Or do you know? We all appreciate your message. I wonder if your message should also go to the Northumberland list? Thank you again. Tosca Jim&Debbie Frazier wrote: > Hello Folks, > Alvin Byrd has just called me. He has asked me to pass on to all that he has > been hit by a TROJAN. 3. Chamah Cheskchamay I'm a Tribal Council Member of the Wicocomico Indian Nation, a Chiefdom of the Powhatan Empire ( confederacy) during the late 1500s and middle 1600s. After the Empire broke up we made separate treaties with the English as the other Chiefdoms of the Powhatan Empire did. Recently we were placed on the Federal Register for Federal recognition. Currently we have a well documented family lineage on Taptico and Tapp and beginning research on Vesey and Curtis which we think are family names of the Wicocomico. We are also directing our research to find other Native Americans that are descendants of the Wicocomico , Chickacone and Corotoman. These three tribes merged in 1652-55 at the direction of the Northumberland County Council. If you or you know of any one that has a Native American heritage and has not been able to determine their heritage, please contact Al Byrd at [email protected] ALL INFORMATION WILL BE SECURE, NO INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE WICOCOMICO COUNCIL TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE A DESCENDANT OF THE WICOCOMICO.
