To Molly and Davis Board Members-- I am also searching for an Alexandria, VA Davis family. My grgrandfather, James Robert Davis, was born there 8 april 1868. According to his death certificate he was the son of William and Sarah Davis, both Virginia born. Sarah's maiden name was possibly Dell. By the late 1870s, William Davis was dead and Sarah Davis moved her children (I think 7 of them, James Robert being one of the younger) to Phila, PA. The older 2 or 3 boys then left and went west. Sarah died in Phila, date unknown. This is all we know of this family. Did either Sarah or William have family in Phila? This is the only reason we can come up with for her move there. In any case if anyone has any knowledge of this family please contact me. Thanks. June

These little facts help to make my ancestors seem so much more real to me. I tend to believe that if he was a "covenanted servant" then either (1) he was indentured (but I can't find him on any ships manifests so far), or (2) he was a prisoner of some sort. Must have been terrible work as about 13 or 14 others ran away at the same time. Again, thanks!!! Cindy

Hi, I am trying to find where a USAF pilot who died in 1995 is burried. I've managed to trace his father who's still alive to the Mc Lean area which was where the pilot was born. I was wondering how I might find where this chap is burried. They had stolen clothes to make good their get-away so they couldn't be described at length. Was wondering if anyone had any idea what the "Potomac Company" was? I'm from Medina, Ohio. A Vietnam veteran asked if I could locate where his friend is buried so he can go visit the gravesite. The person's name is Ralph Henry Reid, he was born in Belle Haven, Fairfax County, VA. Oct. 26, 1942. He died Feb. 11, 1968 in Vietnam. Any information on where he is buried would be helpful. We have already tried Arlington National Cemetery. But had no luck. Thanks in advance Terri
