I at a stand-still with my research...I'm searching for SMITH in Culpeper and Spotsylvania. My earliest SMITH is JOSEPH THOMAS SMITH b. 1834. He m. LETITIA ANN BROWN in 1858 in Culpeper, daughter of ROBERTSON BROWN and NANCY BISHOP. I have been unable to find out who Joseph's parents are. I believe that they might be JAMES SMITH and SALLY G. BROWN but I can't be sure. I'd appreciate anything you might be able to give me! Mary
