I was in Virginia and no one seemed to know what I was talking about- not having the material at hand, I am not sure what it was in reference to, but I think a mining company of some sort and shares in the company. possibly a gold mining venture and the date would have been late 1790's, early 1800's. I think Richards Ferry Road went across the river to Faquier County, not Spts. Co., built by William Richards 1780-to 1800-- because he had saw mills in Culpeper and needed it.
