Hugh, If it's any help, the 1972 edition of _Historic Culpeper_, which I have, states "Robert Garnett is said to have been the owner about 1806. For many years it was owned by the Huffman family." (p. 53). I would infer from that, that after Robert Garnett owned it, the Huffmans became owners. Except for the name of the house, there is no mention of the Freemans in this article. They are mentioned in connection with about 6 other homes in the county, however. Donna Boyd
