Dear Listers: Family lore states that Henry Bransom ANDERSON rode shotgun (2 to 3 times) on covered wagons traveling to California. Henry was born near Amissville in 1831, so this traveling probably took place in the mid- to late-1800s. Does anyone have any information regarding this activitiy? Did this activity originate in Northern Virginia? Any suggestions as to where we can learn more about Henry? TIA! Bob
