He was born Frank Porter(Mar.3,1895) in Culpeper, Va. His mother was Martha Thomas Porter, married to Anthony Porter. Martha's parents were Noah and Sarah/Sally Thomas(Both Slaves). It is believed that Sarah/Sally was taught to read and write by the slaveowner's two Thomas daughters. It is also believed that Sarah went on to be a school teacher at some point. I guess that Noah and Sarah were born around 1840 to 1850 in Culpeper. If there are any Thomas family members with this information, please contact me. Thank-you
