My Great grandfather and mother were named Noah and Sarah/Sally Thomas, both of whom were slaves of the Thomas family. I believe that they were born between 1840 and 1850. Sarah/Sally was taught to read and write by the slave owner's two daughters. They had Martha Thomas who married Anthony Porter, and the were the parents of my father Frank Porter, who was born in Culpeper in 1895. Please contact me!
