They both died in Culpeper County, VA. Could this be the same Tilman HUFFMAN that you are talking about? >> _____________ John, No, but they are often confused. My Tilman HUFFMAN was b. c1735, d. c1826 He was son of Henry and Anna (Huettenhen) HUFFMAN who emigrated 1734 from Westphalia (Ger) to Orange Co., VA (later became Culpeper Co.). Henry HUFFMAN changed his name from Hans Hendrick HOFMANN or it was changed for him by English clerks in Orange Co., VA. Remember that John HUFFMAN (aka Johannes HOFMANN) whom you cite was in VA as an immigrant in 1714 and well established by the time my Henry arrived in 1734. They are not known to be related. Maria Sabina FOLG was John HUFFMAN's second wife. John allegedly did have a much younger brother, Henry, who came to VA in 1746. See Germanna Record #5.
