    3. Wasn't that a good show, Linda? The Waite house is one that was owned for many many years by Miss Crimora Waite and her sister, whose name I have forgotten. Hundreds of Culpeper's children attended "Miss Crimora's kindergarten" at that house, and every year there was a picture in the paper of her graduates in their little mortarboards. She was the only librarian Culpeper ever had for forever, it seemed like. I'll check with Rich and Jackie and see what I can find out. They still have their stained glass business. The house has a huge ancient wisteria vine growing over the porch; I think they named the house Wisteria something. That neighborhood is one that is undergoing a revival, with wealthy people who have moved to Culpeper buying the properties and restoring them. Those records may be available elsewhere, as well. If you will tell me whether your subject was in the infantry, artillery, or cavalry, or what unit he was supposed to have been in, that would help me try to find out. I'm assuming cavalry with Mosby, right? Let me know..... Donna
