I dont have the actual source documents listed here unfortunately, but the following list purportedly is the result of a search of all (electronically archived) immigration records for "Thomas Piner" from 1500-1900. There seem to be at least 3 of them who came to the colonies in 1726, 1746, and 1748, all to Virginia. I also have some copies of mid-18th century court records from Kent County, MD, which discuss a Thomas Piner. Whether or not there's any connection, I don't know.
