The name Benoni is Biblical. In Genesis 35:18 Rachel names her last son Benoni or “son of my sorrow” but Jacob renamed him Benjamin “son of my right hand.” Our ancestors obviously knew the Bible well--they searched long and hard for Benoni--and try Karenhappach! Karen Dale
