    3. Wow! You just gave me the date my 4th-g-grandfather Isham B. Mason helped build the old courthouse!!!! He was a brickmason. He also helped build St. Stephen's Church, etc. He was also a jailer in Culpeper and I am wondering if there are any records on that. Did they hire jailors, or were they just volunteers? Any guesses???? I found an ad in a newspaper December 30, 1815 for a runaway slave he was looking for.
