Mary Stevens Jones, a retired newspaper writer and a former English teacher, holds a B.A. degree from Westhampton College of the University of Richmond. Co-editor of Historic Culpeper published in 1972 by the Culpeper Historical Society, she resides in Culpeper. She is vice-chairman of Culpeper County's American Bicentennial Commission.
