Prince George and the library in Laurel does not do interlibrary loan from Virginia. They told me you have to go to a large library like Pratt etc. I tried at the new one in Anne Arundel near Russett and they don't either. I live in a small town too and my library was not wanting to do ILL, but by doing most of the work myself, like getting call numbers at the source library (LOV, in fact) and paying for postage to return the books, I talked them into it.
