Dear JSH, The thot plickens! The husband of my ancestor was raised in Fairfax Co., VA. He was born in 1761 in Fairfax while she was born in 1770 in Culpeper Courthouse, VA. Were they neighbors? Were both places the same or next to each other? They married in Bryan's station, KY, June 20, 1787. They carved out a farm in Scott Co., KY near Lexington. She was a Drake and a Bruce. He was a Vallandingham, and where the Nordstorm Store at Tyson's corners is today is where old maps show the family plantation was.
