I tried to look for the muster roll sheet for these two regiments, but could not find Mark's name. It was also rumored that he lost an arm in the war. War does allow for movement and Virginia - Tennessee - Kentucky seems possible. If he married at 25, he would have been 35 when he enlisted. Elizabeth was at home taking care of the kids in Logan County. I received a copy of the marriage certificate between Mark and Elizabeth, Mark signed his name, so he was somewhat intelligent. See what you can come up with - I have Mark Sr. death between 1830 and 1840. John W. McSherry
