William Henry Gaines, Sr and Isabella Pendleton are my 8th great grandparents. All the information I have on them is: they married in 1728. He fought the Indians in 1753, was a footsoldier in the Culpepper Militia, and was a patriot member of the committee to procure supplies and ammunition during the American Revolution.
