    1. [VACULPEP] Re: Input on Blackwell will --Jim B. & Suzy

    3. Dear Jim & Suzy, People nowadays are buried in cars, with a favorite piano, so with those who have gone before us as I am sure they had their own thoughts of how they wanted to be buried. In Victorian times, people would put pipes from the grave to the surface, incase someone was buried alive--at least this was their thinking. So would not surprise me of an ancestor specifying how to be buried. Here in Texas, close to where I use to live, at Bailey's Prarie, TX, old Mr. Bailey told his wife what he wanted for her to do when he died. He told her to bury him standing up with a jug of whiskey. Well after he died, he was buried standing up, BUT, his wife refused to put a jug of whiskey in with him. The LEGEND goes now: If you see a light in the woods or elsewhere around the countryside during nighttime, it is said old Mr. Bailey is looking for his jug of whiskey. Many people, even old timers have seen this light. Who knows? Thought you might like a good chuckle. Rebecca Bashaw
