Thanks for your reply Anne, Was Susan Fitzhugh the d/o John J B Fitzhugh? *I don't know* *I think her Mother's married name was Mary Fitzhugh* Anne thank you for looking up these records I don't they they apply to what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find living descendants of Siffrein Maury Vass and Susan Fitzhugh. I want to invite them to a ceremony in Henrico County, Va. to honor the sacrifice of two of their sons who gave their young lives [17 y.o. and 18 y.o.] in defense of their homeland during the War Between the States. These two brothers who were CSA soldiers are going [Nov. 2006] to get proper tombstones provided by the Veterans Administration [one's like at Arlington Cemetery]. Their previous tombstones numbered 84 and 84 1/2 will be removed and proper military tombstones will be set in place and they will be given a full a Confederate reproduction of a 1864 ceremony to honor their sacrifice. There names were George Fitzhugh Vass and Townshend Dade Vass. I believe that this will be something not to be missed. Any other info greatly appreciated. Gail Vass
