Mrs. Lamb released an article in a Culpeper Paper some years ago. She made strong reference to a Wharton Cemetery here. John and I attempted to locate it but were not successful. Mrs. Wharton, wife of Rev War (Sam?) Wharton is buried there. She would qualify for the State restoration program. She was the grandmother of Civil War Gen Gabriel Colvin Wharton. The area we searched was near the railroad and found remains of a very old wooden fence (nice potential). None of the "oldtimers" in the area remembered a cemetery on that property. Suggestions??? Lee
