A William Slaughter is mentioned. William Slaughter signed James Hord's will. I know Gabriel Slaughter married Frances Sophia Hord c 1798 in Caroline County VA. Not the Gov. Gabriel Slaughter. The children I have for a William Slaughter and Katherine Zimmerman are: Gabriel, Thomas, William, John and Smith. Trying to figure out how Fanny Strother and my Frances Ellen Slaughter are related. Living with Fanny Strother are Robert C 42, Jacob Owen 40, Eliza 35, James 16, George L 13 and a John age 14? No male around her age living there. I know there was a school named Strother Elementary in Louisville years ago. My Frances Ellen Slaughter, born in Culpepper, married in Indiana Claudsley W Smith.(1826) Some of her brothers must have come from VA to Indiana. John and a Lawrence were in KY later.
