    3. Listers: This book is indeed a "bible" for researchers, but it is not complete and is only arranged by surname, then by county. Wesley Pippenger has also completed a very thorough survey of wills and administration for the period 1800-1865 (he has only yet to complete some counties in the Northern Neck. However, the PREMIER source with much more information about where to find the will or administration is on the Library of Virginia web site.
