This is very interesting and promising for me to have some more fun researching. Do you have any Stapps or Stepps in your history? Mine is Abraham [1646, Buckinghamshire UK] and his wife Dorothy Moss [ca.1660-1718 Essex Co VA]and then all their children specifically Joshua [1688 Essex Co VA-1783 Orange Co VA] and his wife Martha Coffey [1690 Essex Co VA-1772]. Their daughter Elizabeth [1729 Orange Co VA-1795 Kanawha Co WV] was the wife of the very well known William Morris [Kanawha Co DAR chapter named after him] and they were the parents of Frances [1760 Culpeper Co VA-1/3/1844 Kanawha Co WV] who married into my Joneses: John [1/28/1755 Culpeper Co VA-1/17/1838 Kanawha Co WV] who was also a Patriot with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, the Morrises. Would love to hear from you. Phyllis DePoy Manassas VA -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Donna Vogt" <[email protected]> > My maiden name was Stapperfenne.
