Can you please do the favor of looking up the HUME marriages in Culpeper or Madison County? It is interesting to see the Strother name all the time. When I was a girl in Charleston WV we had no whites by this name but we had myriad colored friends whose names were changed versions of this-in my own class I had Ester Mae Strawther, Frank Straughter, and Cynthia Strader.
