Payne who married Polly McKensey 5/25/1801 by Rev. James Garnett [Baptist] Culpeper Co. I am not related I tried checking the census for Bennet on the Heritage census, I did find him on the 1820 Jefferson, Ky census and they had his name spelt Bennit D. Payne. It showed 3 males to age 10 2 to 16 1 16-26 1 45 Females 1 female to 10 2 to 16 1 to 26 1 45 1 45 & up You might try different spelling, they were famous for spelling names wrong and the indext to the census were copied wrong in like Bennit for Bennet.
