    3. My brick wall is Champion Stanton, b 1783 Culpepper VA. m. Sarah Lindsey b. 1781, married 1909 in Madison Co Va. by 1850 they were in Jackson Tennessee. Seems that prior to 1850 they fell from a rock and cannot locate his parents etc., Would appreciate any help.     3. Have you tried Library of Virginia? I keep finding early goodies there. But you have missed the rock they fell off. In 1810 they were still in Madison Co but by 1830 at least, son Layton who is 23 in the 1850 was born in Tennessee. There are two apparent sons in Tennessee on the same page who were born in VA. I can't swear this is he in 1820 but there are not many Champions, but I note he is usually found as Champ. If you need these images let me know.
