    1. Re: [VACULPEP] Quakers in Culpeper
    2. Hi All, I can't remember exactly what or where, but some of the writings of John WOOLMAN's Journal may have a clue to the names of the Quaker Monthly Meetings in VA (can't remember?). This is a bit of what I referenced; "Spoke of attending the Yearly Meeting in VA ....writings and this . ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, in VIRGINIA, 20th of the 5th Month, 1757. In this journey I was out about two months, and traveled about eleven hundred and fifty miles. I returned home under an humbling sense of the gracious dealings of the Lord with me, in preserving me through many trials and afflictions..." He also speaks of traveling with Ann GAUNT (who also preached the Quaker Faith). I think this is Ann RIDGWAY who married Hananiah GAUNT. The WOOLMAN Family married into the GAUNT line in New Jersey, also the HAINES, STOKES, GASKILL lines. It's been a while since I read from his journal, but it is detailed with dates and locations. Hope this adds some info, Linda Cashen Gaunt **************Need a job? Find employment help in your area. (http://yellowpages.aol.com/search?query=employment_agencies&ncid=emlcntusyelp00000005)
