" There were BAUGHAN/BOUGHAN/VAUGHAN families in Culpeper Co after 1769 (til around 1850). So far as I know, the parents, Henry and Jael Brown Boughan never moved "west" from Essex Co, but there was a Mordecai Baughan whose daughter Susanna married Robert Jones and had a daughter Jael Jones who married Henry Vaughan, the son of Vincent Vaughan (Mordecai and Vincent may have been brothers). DNA has confirmed Mordecai Baughan was a close descendant of Henry Boughan. Anyway, Jael is an Old Testament name. Sally **************New year...new news. 3. Hi Sally,    James Graves who married Sarah unknown whose will in 1781 in Culpeper is my 6th great grandparents. I descend from their daughter Mary Graves who married Richard Parks whose will is in Culpeper in 1817.  The James Graves will l also names his daughter Jail (Jael) Jones. Richard Parks father John Parks Sr who married Margaret True will is in Spotsylvania in dated 1735.   In James Graves will it mentions besides Jail Jones.. a William Jones.  James Graves owned land in the fork of Rappahannock on Muddy Run. The deed is in Orange County Deed Book 10: 223-2224. .   On a chart on the Parks line it shows just the names. It has John Parks and Margaret True who are the parents of my Richard Parks who married Mary Graves. The chart also shows a Mary Parks married Robert Jones.  It then shows Ann Jones m. Richard Bougham; Mary m. Bryant McGrath; Lucy Jones m. Thomas Thornhill; Thomas Jones m. Agnes ?.  That is all I have on them except the next generation has a Lucy Jones m. Caleb Smith.   Marianne Dillow     --- On Tue, 1/6/09, SallyBaughn@aol.com <SallyBaughn@aol.com> wrote: From: SallyBaughn@aol.com <SallyBaughn@aol.com> Subject: Re: [VACULPEP] Graves (Jael) To: vaculpep@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 8:48 PM Marianne wrote: "And yes they had a daughter named Jael which is a name I am not familiar with.
