    1. [VACulpeper] Samuel Burdine, Mary Fletcher, or Mary Eddins
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Burdine, Fletcher, Eddins Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QBC.2ACI/2280 Message Board Post: I am trying to solve the mystery of the wife of Samuel Burdine born in culpeper county in 1744. Some say his wife is Mary Fletcher and the Fletcher middle name was in use well into the 1900's and other say his wife is Mary Eddins. The Eddins camp has proof of their claims, but the Fletcher folks have years of rumours passed down for the generations. If any one has any info from Culpeper county as Samule was suppossed to have been married there in 1771 it would be of great assistance. Rich Spickler

I believe that this was Martin's second marriage after death of Susan Shaddon. I am trying to figure out to whom this Martin belonged. I have seen three different theories as to his parents identities and his place of birth. I trace my line through Martin and Sarah. My ggf was Josiah Bradley Gambill, the first son of Martin and Sarah. Also Jacob Gambill killed February 1922 at Oak Grove Mine was my father's uncle. Any more info on Jacob would be appreciated.

Surnames: Ellerson, Ellarson Ellison Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/QBC.2ACI/2227.25 Message Board Post: Hello, I am looking for information on David Ellerson (Ellarson) I am told David Ellerson was born on high seas enroute to Virginia (from ? Scottland), they landed near Fredericksburg, VA and moved 30 miles west to a town called Culpepper, VA. The family lived there and David Ellerson joined the military to fight in the Rev. War. I am told that he was one of the "minute men" and fought in several battles in Virginia and Pennsylvania prior to moving to Gilboa, Schoharie, Ny . I have been able to document some of his war activities in NY but not in Virginia or Pennsylvania and would appreciate any help you might be able to give me in regards to this. I am also tying to gain information about David Ellerson (Ellarson) parents so I can trace my genealogy back further. I have conflicting dates of birth for him. The DAR has his birthday as July 4,1750. The mormon family registry has his birthday listed as April 7,1750 and another source has his birthday as October 14, 1749. I would appreciate any information you might be able to provide me with about his parents, brothers, sisters etc since they are know to have settled in the Culpepper area. I am also trying to find information about the ship he may have been born on if it can be determined. Thank-you very much, David Weber
