They had at least one son - Finley Collins who married Becky Black 06/21/1829. They had the following children: James, John, Nancy, Hiram, and Permilia. Finley Collins then married Mary Polly Mayo Walker and 07/11/1840 at the United Baptist Church in Jasper, Indiana. They had the following children: Isaac, Wililam, Joseph, Abraham, Elizabeth, and Stephen. Finley died 11/01/1853 in Dubois County, IN. We are descendants of Isaac Collin's line. Would love to exchange information.

I would like to exchange information. It is possible that James' father was Andrew Stotts but I have nothing to verify it. I am looking for more information on Henry Stotts family. I have read that Henry came here in 1632 and that he and his wife Priscilla had a son named Henry. I would also like to find out about Laban Stott that I believe lived in Northampton Co. Va., in the late 1700's. I believe Laban had two daughters Sarah Bell, Peggy, and Mahala. I also believe that he had two wives Sarah Roberts and Susanna Belote.

You really dug through the archives to find that old posting! I have not done much work on the Cubbage line. My gr gr grandmother was Frances Cubbage who married first John Berry (in Madison Co) then Samuel Nauman (in Page Co). She apparantly left John to live with Samuel not long after her first marriage. My gr grandmother, Harriet, was found in the census in someone else's home while her sister was with Frances and Samuel. Which makes me wonder if Harriet was the daughter of John Berry and the sister was the daughter of Samuel so he kept her and not the other child. Harriet went by Cubbage for many years (in 2 census) then changed to Berry when she was grown. I thought for a while she was a Cubbage who married a Berry but that was not so - she never married but had 3 children - father or fathers unknown. Bev

I have not run across the name "Meador" that you spoke of in your message concerning John Cooper. Who is that, and what John was that? I agree that the DNA test will really narrow the choices for us, and that's good. I was interested to hear from Mark Cooper concerning his Joseph Cooper, and need to hear more about that. This may well be a break-through for the Cooper researchers (I hope). Please stay in touch.

Thornberrry Jennings name appears in the court land records in Culpeper in 1824 and 1826 with Hazle listed as trustee. Thornberry's name shows in the 1830 census for Shenandoah County. Hazle's name appears in Culpeper in 1845 records concerning the appraisal and sale of his estate. Hazle's children appear to be Robert S., James, Edward, Frances E. and Mary A E. I think Hazle's name shows in the census records as Hazel. I would like to establish a connection between Thornberry and Hazle. I would also like to find information about Thornberry and his parents if they are related to Hazle. Any information would be appreciated.

Mills, or any other published index to the Southern Claims Commission filings at NARA? If so, would you mind looking for the following possible listings?
