If you are going to be that way, I'll do it again. I apparently don't have your problem because as I scroll down with Outlook Express, I can see the contents in a box at the bottow without opening the item. Trying to find documented evidence of John (one-eye) Wharton's father's name. Also, need information on William Gray, father of Elizabeth Finney Gray m. Benjamin Wharton. Her sister was Lucy Gray who m. Arthur Brockenbrough. Marjorie
My Waggener ancestors JAMES HERBERT WAGGENER (c.1720-c.1803) and his wife ANN JONES (c.1730- c.1816) moved to Culpeper County from Spotsylvania County around the 1760's. Their son JAMES JONES WAGGENER (5/6/1758- c.3/1822) was born in Culpeper County and married his wife ELIZABETH GARNETT (c.1761- aft.1829). They spent most of their lives in Culpeper County, finally moving around 1820 to Todd County, Kentucky. Their son REUBEN GARNETT WAGGENER (7/7/1797-12/24/1884) was born in Culpeper County, and probably moved from Culpeper County in about 1815-16, to Jefferson County, Kentucky. My Garnett ancestors ANTHONY GARNETT (c.1709- c.1803) and his wife ELIZABETH BOULWARE JONES (c.1705-unk.) moved from Essex County to the Culpeper County area around 1741. They acquired property at the confluence of the Robinson and Rapidan Rivers, that eventually came to be known as the "Horseshoe Farm." Their son ROBERT "ROBIN" GARNETT (12/31/1736- 12/30/1830) moved to Culpeper with his parents and married in Culpeper County, his wife LUCY TOWLES (c.1738-c.1810). Although Robin and Lucy had their own property nearby, they eventually took possession of the "Horseshoe Farm." Reportedly in 1824, at the age of 88, Robin sold all or most of his property in Culpeper County and rode on horseback to join his son in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Elizabeth Garnett, wife of James Jones Waggener, was their daughter. Actually, three of their daughters (Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary) married three sons of James Herbert Waggener and Ann Jones (James, John and Thomas). It is not completely clear to me if the parents of Lucy Towles were actually ever living in Culpeper County or Madison County. They were STOKELEY TOWLES (c.1690-1757) and ANN VALLOT (7/31/1693- c.1748). They moved from Middlesex County to what was certainly the area of Culpeper County (Orange County at the time) around 1737. Stokeley's will was recorded in Culpeper County in 1757. Rick Waggener Walnut Creek, California

George WILSON, wife Nancy [or Ann] [maiden name unknown] Son: Lewis Edmon WILSON, b. 1780, Culpeper. Moved to Bourbon/Harrison County, KY, ca. 1794-5 George WILSON was listed on the Culpeper Tax Rolls from 1782 to 1793. He had two sons older than Lewis counted when they turned 16. One was listed as "C. WILSON", the other was not named even by a first initial, but his name could possibly be Daniel or John. Would love to find parents of George & Nancy, and other children.
