The list activity seems slow recently. Maybe that means you are all waiting to hear from someone who needs help? Well, I do! I have seen many references saying my STARNES (STARNS) and ADAMS ancestors went to Hawkins Co., TN, about 1800, from Craig Co., VA. Now you all know, Craig Co., VA, was not officially established until much later. Moreover, none of the people making this claim have any specific information to back it up. And, I have been unable to find any evidence surfing the internet. What I desperately need is for someone in the area to help me prove this link to Craig Co., VA. Or, perhaps, someone out there who knows the area and the STARNES or ADAMS lines to share with me the evidence they have. Specifically, I am hunting for a John James STARNES and Sarah Jane ADAMS, both of whom were born about 1776, married, and had three children before moving from Craig Co., VA, area to Hawkins Co., TN, in 1800.
