Hi gang: I've posted the following on the Craig County Query site, but I thought I'd give you a head start on it. Looking for information on Margaret, wife of W. J. Layman. Margaret's first husband, James L. Bowen, died in 1905. They lived where the present-day Joseph Joyce Farm is located on Rt. 621. WPA information gathered in the 1930's shows Margaret inheriting a piece of property from her first husband James L. Bowen which was later owned by S. A. Brookman of New Castle. An old log house stood on the land described as "2 3/4 miles southwest of Rt. 311 on Rt. 621, south side of the road." Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this log house and W.
