Hi Vincent, I was reading through your postings about the Carper family and I thought I recognized Elizabeth Virginia Carper b. Mar 29, 1885 in Craig Co., Va. She married into my Eakin family. She married Mason E. Eakin Feb 13, 1907 in Roanoke, Virginia, son of Paris Eakin and Catherine Lafon. Elizabeth died Mar 15, 1970. I thought I would just pass this on. I didn't have anything on Elizabeth V. Carper, now since your posting, I know quite a bit more about her. I noticed also that you list some of the Carpers, (I think one of them was Christopher Columbus Carper) as being in Roane Co., WV. It so happens that I was born in Roane Co., WV and that is where my Mother's family the Eakin's are from. The above mentioned Mason E. Eakin is a very distant relative of my Eakin family. I also have Elizabeth as being buried at Cedar Lawn Burial Park, Roanoke, Va. along with her husband Mason Eakin. Just thought I would pass this info. on to you. Debra Copen Corra
