Steve: The Bowens in question lived in that part of Botetourt County that was often serviced by the Montgomery County Courthouse for marriages, wills, etc. Today, the old Bowen homestead (pile of chimney stones) & cemetery are on the Joyce farm on Rt. 621 in Craig County, about one mile from the Craig-Montgomery border.
