I left off the initial post by Scott: Hi Vince, I was wondering if you may have ever came across a Abraham DeWit in your research. Abraham DeWit was married to Catherine Burns or (Baras)? On 09 Dec. 1783 in Greenbrier Co,VA. By John Alderson Jr. I believe Catherine's last name is Burns and not Baras according to the marriage record I found at the Greenbrier County Courthouse in Lewisburg. I was told by a relative that Abraham was buried in Craig Co,VA. I have been told by several relatives that Abraham & Catherine may be my GGGG-Grandparents.
