Bubba, Please accept my condolences. I just lost my mother in February and it still feel like yesterday. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Deepest regards, Karen Miles-Mitchum darkwolf@usit.net
Thank you Bubba for letting us all know about your Mom. She would be proud of you for thinking of all her "cousins". Vicky was a very special person. We had been e-mailing late at night, since that was her quiet time about the Smith's in VA. She always spoke highly of her family and was very proud of her daughters nice new bedroom. I know she had a family reunion she had planned on attending this week-end, always seemed her life was so full. My deepest sympathy to her family and all her friends. She will be missed. Sincerely, Sandy Carneiro
Dear Vicky's e-mail buddies, This is Travis (Bubba) Vicky's son and I've got some bad news. Friday morning Vicky had an aneurysm in her brain and collapsed on the floor. We took her to the hospital and she just got worse and worse. So this morning about 12:00 the doctor pronounced her brain dead and we decided to take her off life support. They said that the weak blood vessel was there from birth and It was just a matter of time before something like this would happen. So I thought all of you out there should know about it. Sincerely, Travis M. Terry

Does anyone see a birth for Philip Strother Hardiman? He married Lillie Dell Givens. He was born May 4, 1874 in England. Would like to know where in England? They lived in Craig Co...married to Lillie, Oct 12, (or 30) 1898. Lillie's father was Isaiah 'Camden' Givens. Mary Jane Ross was her mother. Some how I feel this could be a mistake, as his father Peter Strother Hardiman, was an immigrant to Va. from Ireland. He lived in Pearisburg, Va. ?? Jackie jjd@uia.net
Miles O. Carper was the son of Wm.L. & Mollie J. Carper. His marriage license indicates that he was 22y.3m. on Oct 31, 1894, born and resided in Craig Co. They were married at the home of the bride's parents. Jack Nida Jonesboro, GA Jennifer Lyon wrote: > > Does anyone recognize Miles O. Hi. The following photos and data are posted on http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/3270/ John H. Zimmerman Roy Wagener Reynolds Blair Ashby Martin All of West View Cemetery. If you wish to contribute good-quality scans of photos of Craig County Residents (lived in the County, not necessarily died and buried there), please forward these to me, with a description of where they are, and what data you may have, and I will be happy to list them on this page. If you have no scanner, but wish to entrust me with the photos, I am willing to do that, but though I will use diligent care, sometimes unforseen things can happen. The risk must be your own. Or send me a COPY of the photo from your camera shop. Vince
