Steve, Thanks for replying. I went to the Sarver cemetery on 621. If my Francisco ancestors are buried there, the graves are unmarked. Who are the Bowens and Francisco in the Bowen cemetery on 621? Virginia Visit my Home Page http://home.att.net/~virginiab/index.html
Steve, I am very interested in this Bowen Cemetery. I tried to find it years ago. I located a Sarver cemetery on the old Francisco land (on Hwy 621) and was told there was a Bowen cemetery nearby. There were many graves in the Sarver cemtery but a lot of them had unmarked fieldstones, very old. I am descended from Christopher Francisco who married Halana Bowen (daughter of James Bowen and Catherine Bosters, grandaughter of John Bowen and Elizabeth--). Do you know of the Sarver cemetery? Is the Bowen cemetery close to it? Do you have the names and dates of the stones in the Bowen cemetery? Virginia >From the page I have which was copied by Wilma Dunlap with comments by Lawrence D. Francisco { I assume this was done before he died in 1981} it does not mention any unmarked graves or any with field stones, however that does not mean there are none. and I really can't say as I have not been to the cemetery. Folks, I directed this person to Pat Ruble Spencer and Sara Green (I hope I have the expertise surnames correct, here). I believe Sara may be online. In fact, I hope she will contact me. If anyone else has Ruble expertise, please contact the original poster at: julee@brightok.net Thanks, Vince I just ran across a note from you about George Washington Ruble. My grandfather was John Washington Ruble, and I wonder if Washington, being a middle name was an old family name. My grandfather was born in Lebanon, Missouri 1884 and died in Holdenville, Oklahoma 1967. Does any of this connect with your search? julee@brightok.net
