    3. Well, it appears we have a gathering of the Caldwell clan this morning. Therefore, can anyone help me with my question? Mahala and Catherine Bowen were sisters, the daughters of James and Catherine "Bosters" Bowen. Mahala married William Caldwell, March 26, 1836, in Montgomery County. Catherine married James Caldwell on December 30, 1845, in Montgomery County. Were William and James Caldwell related? And, if so, how? Bob Bowen in Woodbridge, VA. 2. Vincent Edward Summers
    3. Hi. My wife and mother-in-law both... have said there was someone in the family with the name De-wayne Ramsey or Du-wayne Ramsey. No, not the spelling, but the sound. Now, they seemed to say it was in the DAVIS line from Rockbridge. But from data I have seen for Craig County, I begin to think it was from the CARPER side of the family. There was a Don WAYNE Sizer and Millie RAMSEY I have seen mentioned on this site. Did they have a girl? And with a name like the above? Vince

    1. [VACRAIG] Layman-Bowen Property - Rt. 621
    2. bob bowen
    3. Hi gang: I've posted the following on the Craig County Query site, but I thought I'd give you a head start on it. Looking for information on Margaret, wife of W. J. Layman. Margaret's first husband, James L. Bowen, died in 1905. They lived where the present-day Joseph Joyce Farm is located on Rt. 621. WPA information gathered in the 1930's shows Margaret inheriting a piece of property from her first husband James L. Bowen which was later owned by S. A. Brookman of New Castle. An old log house stood on the land described as "2 3/4 miles southwest of Rt. 311 on Rt. 621, south side of the road." Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this log house and W. J. and Margaret "Bowen" Layman. Semper Fi - Bob Bowen in Woodbridge -- Protect our Flag
