I tried to access this in the Charlotte archives after being notified and was not able to do so Jo Lee wrote that she had been trying to find his wifes name. I found the marriage record in Amelia co Va. mg records which I ordered in from the FHC here in Denver. He married Mary Robertson. I am very interested in this man. He md several of James Spencers children James Spencer died leaving a will in charlotte co. mentioning his wife Eleanor (thought to be a Robertson) and his eldest son John Spencer (my line) who is believed to have md the daughter of James Fletcher of the 1782 Charlotte census. James Fletcher wound up in Wilkes co N.C. John Spencer and a son of John Weatherford wound up in Surry co N.C. I need that death date and any other Weatherford marriages that were mentioned in that bible will share any information on the above families Will someone please help me with this I will be very grateful Fran Fletcher fmfco@aol.com
