Thanks, Karen. I'm not on the Harvey list, so I'd appreciate that. When I get to Campbell County in May, I'm going to get a copy of the marriage bond of Miss Wilson to Thomas Harvey. My information from Paul Harvey was that her name was Anne. Bill Harvey has another given name for her, Alice. That conflict ought to be solvable through the proper documentation. Because (thank God) there were no other Wilsons in Charlotte County in the time period of John and Mary (ugh!) Wilson (1768-1779 at least) there is little doubt in my mind that they are the parents of Thomas Harvey's second wife. John's estate (no will) was inventoried and appraised in 1779. Yesterday I found a record of a John Wilson (DAR lineage books) who was in the Revolution, 1776-1777, killed at the battle of Eutaw Springs. His son John Jr. got over 2000 acres of land in Kentucky (I know there was a John Jr., as he is in the 1782 tax rolls of Charlotte). I have asked if there is a record in Charlotte that might illuminate "my" John Wilson Sr. as a possible officer in the Continental line. I do know John's son Joseph Wilson's father-in-law, William Hudson, served as an officer--so the older men did serve in the military--they would be the same age, I figure. Thanks for the boost.
