If you would like comprehensive informationon the Wilderness Road I would suggest that you contact a professor at Radford University. Her name is Linda Killen! The Wilderness Road went thru Radford Virginia. There were two ferries there, Peppers Ferry and Ingles Ferry. Some of the Wilderness Road continued along interstate 81, and passed thru the town of Newbern in Pulaski County. There is a museum there called the Wilderness Museum and it houses tons of old documents that were discarded by libraries and local governments. You might info there.... Anyways, Good Luck P.S.
