Can someone please help interpret a personal property tax list of 1791 which has these columns: Persons names responsible for the tax, While males 16 and above: The listing in question is for: Levin Gayle, 2 white males 16+ Does this mean that Levin Gayle himself is one of the two white males, or does it mean that Levin has in his household, two white males 16 or above, not counting himself.
