Trying to find parents and siblings of Cyrus Paine (various spellings) CONNOLLY. He was born ca. 1779, somewhere in VA. In 1797. he witnessed a will in Charlotte Co., along with a William G. CONNOLLY who may be a brother. By 1810, Cyrus P. was in Burke Co., NC. Family tradition (written up in the early 1930s) says that Cyrus's mother was a PAINE and her mother was a JAMES. Cyrus P. married Elizabeth CALLICOT in NC. Elizabeth also descended from the JAMES line, and her family had roots in VA. Any and all leads greatly appreciated! Ruth Ann
