Just thought I would give this a shot. I have attempted to obtain information about great relatives who, at least according to their marriage license, were from Lambsburg. In speaking with a friend, she suggested that perhaps like so many folks here in and around Washington, DC who say they are from Washington, DC, but are actually from Arlington, VA or Ft. Washington, MD. Perhaps they were from some small hamlet near Lambsburg. That being said, here is the question. Were there any townships or hamlets, with a majority of mulatto's or recently freed African Americans near Lambsburg? Is there anyone who can assist me with this? The surnames I am looking for are COLES and CHEATHAM. Thanks Trish
