I'm looking for the will of John Carroll, d. 1860. John was the member of the Virginia House of Delegates responsible for introducing the bill to create Carroll County, VA. John served in the VA House of Delegates for the session dates 1842-44, 1846-51, 1852-53 and 1855-56. His home was in Fairview community on Route 58 just east of Hillsville. I found some information that states "his will specified...that his body be buried in a Catholic cemetery in Wythe County." I'm hoping someone in Carroll County has access to his will and can tell me which cemetery in Wythe County he was buried in. I'm guessing that if he lived in Carroll but was buried in Wythe that there may be other family members buried there as well. Thanks for any help that you can give me. ===== R.
